We’ve appreciated being involved with and helping to minister to a special group of homeless guests during the winter months, by both encouraging and demonstrating God’s love with many Windsor Christian Church members and volunteers. This was accomplished through the Nomadic Shelter/Entertaining Angels Events at WCC. We appreciate the support of this special team this past year which provided prayer, testimonies, music, fellowship, refreshments, food, desserts, set up, and clean up throughout the Nomadic Shelter events.
Nomadic Shelter Events
Nomadic Shelter operates during the winter months utilizing churches throughout Sonoma County to temporarily house 15-20 guests each night from October-April. The program offers an opportunity to offer love, hope, and a warm, safe place to sleep for the night along with a meal. The guests range in age and are both men, women, and occasionally children.
Windsor Christian Church hosts these events the 4th Friday of the month. We use the first floor of the Main Education Building, and typically set up at 5:00 PM. Guests arrive at 6:15 PM. Volunteers assist in setting up tables and chairs, supplying food, and help in serving, or participating in the meal. It’s a blessing to those in attendance to interact and fellowship with our guests, get to know them, and allow them to share their stories. The evening consists of a time of prayer, devotional, dinner, and cleanup. Additionally, the Redwood Gospel Mission provides 2 chaperones to oversee and stay with the guests.

Redwood Gospel Mission
Windsor Christian Church provides a speaker and a worship leader for the evening Chapel Services on the 5th Sunday of the month. Services are held at the men’s facility (6th Street, Santa Rosa) in the RGM Chapel. There is usually a crowd of 20-40 men and women attending the worship service which consists of music and a message. A meal is provided to those in attendance by RGM also. Pastors Lance Wallace, Steve Greene and members of Windsor Christian Church have participated in these Chapel services, given personal testimonies, and shared a message of the Gospel of Jesus.
Music has been provided by Pastor Steve Greene, Andrew Gallagher, Richard Armantite, and Windsor Christian Academy students. As we look forward to 2026, we invite all our Windsor Christian Church family and friends to participate in both of these programs.
